Within the framework of the charitable campaign „AITA ALUSTADA ELU” (Help Bring Life) the Tallinn Christmas Market and Pelgulinna Maternity Hospital Support Fund are raising money to purchase a neonatal resuscitation table this year.

Almost every fourth child in Estonia is born in the Pelgulinna Maternity Hospital. Up to 500 newborns need the resuscitation table every year.
If a child is born sick or prematurely or if the baby’s condition deteriorates, the resuscitation table can be used to resuscitate the newborn, and carry out various diagnostic and treatment procedures. It is important to keep a newborn, especially a premature or sick baby warm, otherwise there could be serious complications. In addition to the heating system the 300 000 EEK resuscitation table is fitted with various other devices: good lighting, equipment to monitor oxygen flow, suction and vital signs.
